Date/Time for Mizuho's Viewing/Obituary in AJC

Mizuho Llewellyn

Mizuho Llewellyn, 36, of Atlanta, Georgia died February 3, 2008. Mizuho is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Jim Llewellyn, son Kai, parents Kazuji and Satoko Suwa of Japan, brother Takeaki Suwa, her sister-in-law Rieko Suwa and mother-in-law June Llewellyn. Mizuho was born in Saitama, Japan in 1971 and grew up in Ageo, Japan. There she attended the Tokyo Kasei High School where she made many lifetime friends.

Mizuho moved to Americus, Georgia in 1990 to attend Georgia Southwestern University. She moved to Athens, Georgia to attend University of Georgia where she met her husband Jim in 1991, and received an AB in Anthropology. She was an avid reader of mysteries and loved learning. Mizuho also attended Georgia State University where she received honors including the Norman X. Dressel Scholarship, a Dean’s Scholarship Key, degrees in Accounting and Computer Information Systems, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Professional Accountancy in 2003. She worked as a CPA with Ernst and Young and the FHLB of Atlanta. In October of 2006 Mizuho and Jim welcomed their son Kai Suwa Llewellyn into the world.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Happy Tails Pets Therapy, http://www.happytailspets.org/ in honor of Mizuho for all their work done for Hospice Atlanta. The family will receive friends Wednesday February 6 from 2 until 4 pm and 6 until 8 pm at H.M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30319, 404-261-3510. Funeral services will be at a location to be announced later.
