Hospital Day 3

We met the rep from Hospice Atlanta in the morning and learned about all the options available. After thinking it over, we decided that I will first go to the in-facility care for a few days, then return home so I can receive "in-home" hospice care. In the in-home hospice care, we get all the equipment necessary for me to function as well as a medical team as a support. In the in-home care, we only get 2 visits from nurses per week, but for other days we can get private nurses aides (not expensive) also. So to get used to the care and get our house ready, we decided to move to the hospice when I am discharged tomorrow. I think it is the best idea for me. Jim and our friend went to take a tour of the hospice this afternoon and liked it very much (another friend works there and gave them a tour). I will be able to see Kai at the hospice tomorrow. I'm so looking forward to checking out of this hospital! My pain is being controlled well so I'm in a very good spirit! Thank you all for thinking and praying for me - we really appreciate it! Good night.

Wow, you sound upbeat again. Thanks for the update. Are visitors allowed to visit you at the hospice? Please include the address in your next blog. I am sure Kai also cannot wait to see you too. 5 more days to go and your parents will be here, yipeee... Take care and you are in our prayers

Yeah, sounds like the Hospice is really nice, anything beats a hospital room. Let us know if we can swing by anything that'll make it seem more like home.

Helen, the visitors are allowed 24 hrs/day. The hospice is very nice-like a hotel! You can look up the directions from the link on yesterday's blog but it's near Lenox. I'd love to see you this weekend if you feel like a visit - come anytime.
Hi Val, thanks so much for the laptop - we are really loving it! I'm really doing well here!

Mizuho-san, we are almost done with SPR audit. We are still going to Curry Curry for lunch and talking about the fun time you and we had at SPR.

Be a big fighter. I are thinking about you always.
