Thanks everyone for the loving phone calls and messages. Mizuho has been a little tired the last couple of days..she hasn't been getting good sleep at night. She kept waking up with bursts of short term pain ('breakthrough pain'), which they combat with a little liquid morphene drops. But over the last couple of days they've adjusted Mizuho's pain meds so that she's has almost no pain..(using time release methadone and with the liquid morphene drops). This afternoon, they added a little oxygen as needed, because she is a little short of breath. She's hoping to get some rest tonight, she requested a sleeping pill from the nurses this morning. (She just took a restoril for sleep).
Her parents are here safely, and very much enjoying seeing Mizuho and Kai. They were here all day, and went home late this evening to prepare a meal for us all and to watch Kai. We'll see them in the morning.
Mizuho asked me to mention how much she has enjoyed all the visitors over the last few days...it has been a truly wonderful experience. And we both are very greatful to have so may beautiful friends to call upon.
Love,
Jim

Thanks for the update Jim. I am glad the medical professionals are doing everything they can to keep Mizuho comfortable. Belated Happy Birthday to you. Please stay strong and be assured that we are all praying for Mizuho and we believe that God will heal her. Please give Mizuho and Kai our love and say hi to her parents.
Hey! Try and get one of those sleeping pills for yourself Jim. ha ha
Actually, I can't sleep at my place without a fan running to create a little "white noise." Let me know if you think something like that might help you drown out the noise of the nurses coming in every couple of hours.
Everyone is telling Mizuho how strong she is (very true), but my hat is off to you as well. You're a trooper, yes, you are. (I'll have to explain that reference later.)
Much love you to both!
Val
