Almost over
Hi all - sorry I haven't updated the blog for a while. I have been struggling with side effects from chemo and radiation. I had chemo last Wed, and I had nausea/vomiting for a few days, then, finally the side effect from radiation hit me - excruciating pain in my esophagus. The pain was so severe that when I took a sip of water, it felt like it was burning me. So I had been too sick this weekend to eat. Now I'm on three different pain medication which is helping with the pain control but the pain is still there when I eat or drink. The doctor said after I finish the radiation treatment, it should clear up in a few weeks. This weekend, I was just laying in my bed and praying for the pain to leave me. I am so looking forward to the treatment to be over! Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers - really appreciate it.

Glad to see you posting again. I can't begin to comprehend what it is like to go through what you are experiencing. We are pulling for you and want you to feel better. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
Mizuho, I was worried you weren't posting because you haven't been feeling up to it. I'm so sorry it has reached that point, but I'm hoping this is the worst of it. I can take off from work if I need too and help you with anything. Just let me know.

My mom will be there this weekend. She would love to help you in some way- just let her know. She is used to working with young children- so I know she would love to come walk Kai in a park somewhere, grocery shop or WHATEVER!! Please let her help you guys out- I think it would do her well to know she is helping.
My Bible Study is praying for your total healing & restoration. I knew you weren't feeling well when you weren't posting. We are thinking of you all!
We sent Kai a card a couple of days ago- I figured you all would be celebrating when you get to feeling better.
Can you post what step is next for you??
