Coudn't sleep

I couldn't sleep at all last night after my 3 hour evening nap! I was fighting nausea half the night - eating crackers and Papaya. I feel a little better this morning but can not eat meals anymore. I'm on Papaya diet again - thank God Papaya is in season. I hope everyone have a nice weekend - I should be better after the weekend!

Well at least you can eat something hon, and I'm sure the papaya is very good for you. Hopefully the terrible nausea will ease up a bit as your body gets used to the treatment. Have a great weekend and let me know if you need anything!

What is dashi?

Hi Mizuho!
Will and I have been sick ourselves a little, so I am sorry it took awhile for me to post. I have been catching up on your progress. We are thinking about you every day and praying for you. It sounds like you are keeping yourself busy, which is probably good. Mom tried to keep a positive attitude when she was diagnosed with lung cancer back in the early 90s. She was bound and determined not to get sick and not to lose her hair. She felt tired like you are describing and lost a little hair but not much. Keep up the positive thoughts! Mom is convinced that is what helped her through. When she was undergoing treatment, they had her envisioning a ball of light and fighting the cancer which took her mind off of things and helped quell her nausea. I don't know if they still recommend that, but if you are interested, I can ask her exactly what she did.
I am sorry to hear that you are tired and sick, and I hope that you feel better soon. We could buy Jim a special outfit and he can be your man-slave for everything :D Seriously though, anything we can do to help, please do hesitate to ask. I'll keep checking back. Hang in there and feel better soon!!!!

Mizuho-san,

If you want to eat some Japanese dishes, I will make some (I cannot guarantee the taste though....). Also, I can give you a ride to E-hospital during weekends if Jim is not available or needs to take a break. :p

Just let me know!

Dashi is glucose, monosodium glutamate, Salt, Seasoning Agents (Bonito), Disodium Inosinate, Disodium Guanylate, Yeast Extract. To be exact. ha ha

Basically salt. It's used to flavor Miso Soup, Chige (have no idea) and Hot noodle.

Edit my above post. I was tired when I wrote it. My mother had breast cancer, not lung cancer. I had you on my brain!!!

Hi guys - thanks for all your messages. This weekend I just wanted to rest so didn't check my computer at all. But I feel a little better after resting over the weekend.
